Greetings from Linda Foster!

Linda Foster is a Rochester, New York based vocalist who has been heard at the San Francisco Opera, Berkeley Contemporary Opera, and Rochester’s own Geva Theatre, JCC Centerstage and the Downstairs Cabaret. She loves the great contemporary American composers, including George Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, Irving Berlin and Leonard Bernstein, but also has a large passion for the works of new writers of American song and music theatre such as Adam Guettel, Ricky Ian Gordon, Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich and Gregg Coffin.

Roads Traveled

Linda Foster’s debut CD Roads Traveled is the culmination of many years of varied experience in vocal music, ranging from opera and classical art song to Broadway, cabaret and folk. She collaborates with some of Rochester, NY’s finest musicians, including Don Kot, Tony Caramia, Petar Kodzas and Kristen Shiner McGuire, among others, to create a CD of heart-felt songs reflecting the wide range of emotions associated with aspects of love, including humor, shy anticipation, melancholy, and unbridled joy. A versatile singer, Linda displays a style all her own that is a blend of the best of all the genres she has sung, showing the attention to vocal quality of classical music and the heart felt emotion of cabaret.
